There are many well-maintained, openly available datasets about drugs. In fact, there are too many with many authorities publishing overlapping sets of facts on different schedules, in a variety of formats. It is no surprise that there is no definitive list of the drugs currently marketed in the United States.

Enter drugdocs. One Drug Document ("drugdoc")

integrates facts from a variety of openly-available, authoritative datasets about a drug currently marketed in the United States

Every month, as part of our Simple Knowledge Service project, Caregraf gathers authoritative datasets and renders their content as graphs. In drugdocs, we reorganize the graphed drug data by ingredient and dose form. A final reduction produces drugcards which summarize drugdoc content.

drugdocs are released monthly following the same schedule as a key drugdoc dataset, RxNORM from the National Institutes of Health.
